+ What are royalty-free photographic images?

For royaltyfree images, the client pays a one-off fee for the rights of the photo and can then utilize the image as many times and in as many projects as necessary. The price of the image depends on the dimension, resolution and on the collection it comes from. The price is not based on the end use of the photo. While this type of license does not guarantee exclusivity, it does allow the customer to make use of a large range of professional quality images at unbeatable prices.

+ Can I reuse a royalty-free image that I have purchased for more than one project?

Yes. With royaltyfree images, the client pays a one-off fee for the rights of the photo and can then utilize the image as many times and in as many projects as necessary.

+ Can I use a rights-managed image -- for which I have purchased the rights to use the image for one project -- in other projects too?

No. Rights-managed photos can be used for a determined period of time, either exclusively or non-exclusively, relative to a specific utilization, which must be determined when purchasing the rights of the image. The cost depends on the determined utilization, position, diffusion, period of use, territory and the exclusivity. The fee paid is based directly on this information and its end use and thus the image may not be used in any other context or project other than for what it has been specified.

+ Can I use ICP images without having purchased them?

No. The images are protected by copyrights in vigour both nationally and internationally, by international copyright agreements and by other laws applicable in the country of origin of the image and photographer. ICP is not responsible with respect to clients and third parties for damages of any type deriving from the misuse of photographic images.

+ Can I use ICP images for a client presentation without having purchased them?

If you sign up on the site and complete your profile, ICP will let you download images (A4, 72 dpi) without watermarks for your layout and client presentations. These images however may not be utilized – until you have purchased them – for printed plans, on the Internet or for any other commercial or publishing purpose. Subscriptions

+ What is a subscription?

Subscriptions are groups of high-, medium-resolution images, available in various formats, cropped, etc. which the customer can use for a range of projects, for a determined length of time or in a specific quantity.

+ Can I create my own collection of images from within ICP archives?

In some cases, ICP also lets you create your own personal collections by selecting 60 or 120 photos from within specific subscriptions at a cost of less than 2 euros per image!

+ What is microstock?

Microstock is a particular form of subscription available from ICP, which allows you to select 60 to 120 images to create your own personal pre-paid collection at a cost of less than 2 Euros per image!

Search

+ If I can’t find an image, can ICP help me?

If you don’t have time to search for an image or can’t find the right image, our specialized staff, experts on the available collections, will help you, free of charge. Send us your layout with colour, format and size specifications and we will find the photo you require at the most reasonable price. ICP guarantees discretion as regards your ideas, and will not divulge this information, under any circumstances, to anyone outside ICP staff.

+ How can I obtain the best possible search results?

To improve your search results, follow the advice regarding the search criteria or use the advanced search option or request a personalised image search: we will help you get the most out of the ICP archive.

+ What should I do if I obtain too many search results?

If this happens you can use the function “Minus sign (-)” which lets you exclude some of the keywords from your search results

+ What should I do if I do not obtain enough search results?

Eliminate a few keywords from your search, or use the function “or” which allows you to simultaneously search for pertinent images that match only one of the inserted keywords. To augment or refine your image search you can also use the list of keywords located on the image detail pop-up.

+ What do I do if I come up with no search results?

Call us, we will carry out the image search for you or we will suggest keywords able to target the type of image you are searching for or we will direct you to another collection.

+ Can I execute an image search within specified collections?

Yes. The advanced search option allows you to carry out an image search within one or more specified collections.

Privacy

+ How is my personal data used?

According to the Legislative Decreet 30.06.2003, n. 196 — code for the protection of personal data — ICP endeavours to be correct, lawful and transparent, thus protecting the privacy of each person and his or her rights. The gathering of personal data is reserved exclusively for the promotion of ICP and its activity. Data will not be divulged to others in any way, nor will it be communicated to third parties without necessary approval, except for uses consented by law.

Registration

+ I forgot my password, what should I do?

Call or write us and we will send it to you via e-mail.

+ Can I change my password?

In the profile section you can change all of your personal data including your password.

Purchases

+ How can I make a payment?

You can choose among various payment methods:

Credit card
You can pay by credit card directly on line and download the images and CDs immediately after purchase.

Bank transfer
If you choose the bank transfer option on line, ICP will contact you in order to receive all the information necessary to carry out the order.

Monthly payments
You can choose to pay for all of your purchases once a month through one invoice, which will be deducted from your credit card the following month. Or you can opt for an automatic payment plan by simply filling out a form available from ICP. The latter option will allow you to download images or CDs any time you wish without having to worry about payments, since they will automatically be deducted from your account.
